Peter Barrett

Peter is your Scottish Liberal Democrat Councillor for Perth City
Centre. He is a hard working and effective ward councillor who
gets things done for our area.

Peter has fought numerous high profile campaigns with the active support
of Perth residents to preserve and enhance the stature of the city.
He championed Perth’s successful bid to achieve Fairtrade status and
led two massive local campaigns mobilising local residents in opposition to
the Shore Road incinerator at the heart of Perth city centre and his ward.

A senior councillor on Perth and Kinross Council, Peter has special
responsibilities as Convenor of the Housing and Health committee,
championing the causes of care for the elderly, adult care, action
on homelessness and affordable housing for our area. He keeps in touch
with local residents through regular Focus newsletters, email and Facebook.
